Mr Glass, how can you write so few notes and make them impossible to remember? Even the most irregular mathematical numbers are at least irregular all the time and don't look repetitive.
Mr Pärt, the same goes for you! All concentration is needed, even just to play a peaceful little waltz, because of the continuous changings in articulation. Or is it just because of the need of concentration, which makes the music as it is? I tried to copy the waltz into a blues.
I've tried to make the waltz more complex by adding some bizarre harmonies from Mozart and changing the rhythm to a Finnish tango.
Sorry to disturb. I hope the acoustics and atmosphere of the medieval church, where we did the recording, will wash away my sins.
